Automate shop and orders

Orders come in, need to be checked, picked, shipped, and tracked. Stock levels need to be accurate, reorders must not come too late. This page shows which steps can be automated.

What happens today

An order comes in. Someone checks whether the goods are in stock, creates a delivery note, books out the stock, prints a shipping label, and sends a confirmation. In parallel: which items are running low? When was the last order from which supplier? All this is in different systems or in lists, and none of it happens by itself.

What can be automated

  • Automatic order confirmation

Replaces: Manually sending order confirmations — the system confirms receipt, checks availability, and informs the customer of delivery status.

  • Stock monitoring and reordering

Replaces: Manually checking which items need reordering — the system warns at minimum stock levels or sends order proposals to suppliers.

  • Shipping with tracking

Replaces: Manually creating shipping labels and delivery notes — the system generates labels, books the shipment, and gives the customer the tracking number.

  • Customer queries on order status

Replaces: Answering queries like Where is my order? — customers can check the status themselves, and the system answers automatically for standard questions.

What stays human

  • Decisions on supply shortages and special requests
  • Complaint handling
  • Supplier selection and price negotiation
  • Quality control on incoming goods

A real-world example

In retail, orders come through the webshop, by phone, or by email. Stock is managed in one system, orders in another, and supplier communication runs by email. A system brings this together: orders are captured, stock is checked, reorders are proposed, and the customer is automatically informed. The retailer saves the admin work and keeps oversight.
